Samsung Galaxy J3 of 2017 is Getting Android Pie​ with New Fixes

Samsung’s Galaxy J3 of 2017, also known as J3 Pro on some markets, has been upgraded to a new operating system: the Android Pie with One UI. The South Korean tech giant has released Android Pie for its Galaxy Xcover 4, Galaxy Wide 2, and the Galaxy J7 Duo last month, with the Galaxy J3 finally receiving the upgrade this month.

The smartphone is at the moment, receiving the new operating system in Russia and Vietnam. Samsung Galaxy J3 was initially launched with Android Nougat in June 2017.

Galaxy J3 Upgraded to Android Pie

Samsung is at the moment speeding up with its Android Pie update release for its older budget smartphones. The  Galaxy J7 Duo, J7 Pro, A8 star, and several other Samsung handsets have received the upgrade in the last few months, with the Galaxy J3 of 2017 now joining the list.

The new update currently released for Russian and Vietnamese Galaxy J3 is coming with the build numbers J330FXXU3CSG6 and J330GDXU3CSG7 respectively.​ The upgrade features Android Pie as well as July 2019 security patch. The new operating system comes with a wide array of new features to Samsung phones, but not all of them will get into every single smartphone. We have yet to see how many of them will make the cut into the Galaxy J3 of 2017.

The procedure to upgrade your Galaxy J3 of 2017 to the latest update is the same as ever. You should receive a notification as soon as the update becomes accessible for your phone. You can also manually get the update by going to ‘Settings,’ then choosing the ‘Software update’ option, and tapping on ‘Download updates manually.’
